Hey guys! I have been into so much stuff; I just wanted to give you a heads up on the latest!
First of all, the latest Retro & Smiling CD that has been in the works since last May is about ready to premier. I played all of the fiddle on these recordings and added some harmony vocals here and there. What's really cool about Retro & Smiling is that the band acts as a tribute to Don Reno & Red Smiley and the Tennessee Cut-Ups (hence, the name), so on this recording, the Reno & Smiley sound was kept in mind from tracking to mastering. If you are a fan of my solo project, you would definitely enjoy Retro & Smiling. I will be performing numerous shows with Retro & Smiling this year, so stay tuned to the Schedule for dates! For more information on Retro & Smiling, visit the Retro & Smiling website.
The next big topic of interest is South by Sea, an indie folk band comprised entirely of Belmont students in which I am playing fiddle. We are just starting to book shows and work on a recording project, but a MySpace band page is already up and in construction. If you are a fan of easy listening and artists like Nickel Creek and John Mayer, you would love what we do. For more information and the latest on this project, check out South by Sea .
Other than that, I am still working on taking "Runnin' Late" digital; it is taking a little longer than expected, but it WILL get done! I'll let you know! Also, a sideline folk/grassroots project and performances are currently in the works, which I am extremely excited about, so I will let you know as things come together. Did a few little updates elsewhere on the site. Thank you all always for all of your support; take care and God bless always!
Hello all! I'm thrilled to announce that, as of today, Runnin' Late is back in stock and ready to order! Check out the Merch page for further details. I also want to give you all a heads-up: expect a digital release in the not-too-distant future. I'm terribly excited about this and will be ready with details as soon as things materialize -- er, digitalize! Thanks for checking back! Take care and God bless always!
Hello all!
I am happy to say that I made it through my first year of college (hurray!), and maybe even happier to tell you that I have basically got my summer schedule up here on the site. I will again be playing with the Harmans, but there are a few other different things I'm anticipating will come up as well. I will keep you posted as best as I can with the details of everything as I receive information.
Other than that, I hope most of you are out enjoying the beautiful spring weather and are planning on being around lots of music this summer. May is bluegrass music month! Have fun, take care, and God bless!!!
Hey everybody!
Well, it's been a while since I've been able to sit down and write to you all! Summer was a wonderful, successful festival season, and it was so good to see so many of you again!
Now that fall is rolling in, there are a few different events on the agenda. School keeps me pretty busy, but make sure you check back at the Schedule now and then to see what's happening.
Also, I post occasionally on my MySpace music space; if any of you are MySpace users, I'd love to be your friend! :)
Thanks for keeping up and hope to be seeing you around before too long!
